thank fucking christ that i went through “the change” when i was ten, was a “teenager” from 15-17, and had a “9-5 job” by the time i was 16. because i could not stand being an angsty piece of shit like any of you. for real? remember how problematic your situation with your parents is now. because you’ll miss them when they’re gone. and think about how hard all of your classes are now. because your teachers won’t be receiving thousands upon thousands of dollars to make you feel like the biggest piece of shit in the country. and think about how backstabbing and fake your friends are now. because when you lose them, when you lose that comfort of someone knowing just what the fuck you’ve been through, you’re done for.
so here it is. you may think that your life sucks, but the sooner you accept it, the better off you’ll be.

Will Cotton’s new exhibition of paintings and sculpture opens today at the Mary Boone Gallery in Manhattan. The collection includes this painting, “Crown,” which depicts Katy Perry as what the artist calls “the reluctant queen of an imagined Utopia.” The show will be up through June 30th. (via nycartscene)
probably my favorite artist at the moment. and i’m literally 30 minutes away from the gallery. my heart is breaking.
